Snowfeet* is a small company of friends and family from a small town, with a big dream - creating the next big winter soprt!

Developed by two roommates, with a passion for both Skiing and Ice Hockey after they had the ingenious idea to create a new winter sport – Skiskating!

Snowfeet, that we have today, are mostly made in the Czech republic after founders, Zbynek and Michael, spent countless days and nights working to bring us this truly perfect version of snowfeet!

I have loved trying these out over the past few months! I'm now totally obsessed with chasing the cold weather in winter so I can use them and still skate when rollerskating is unlikely!

Among the many reasons I've taken up this sport, there are a few standouts.

The weather is pretty unpredictable in most parts of New Zealand, especially in the cooler months! Here in Auckland, we don't really get snow (apart from on the top of the sky tower every 10-14 years, give or take), instead we get bouts of wind and rain! Often times I'll get to my skating destination and the rain will immediately hit!

Enter Snowfeet*!

After doing a bit of research, I found out some cool things about Snowfeet! These nifty little things are like skates for the snow! This was the main reason I first became interested. Skating in summer, and winter? Sign me up!

Digging a little further, I learned Snowfeet can fit onto almost any waterproof winter shoes as well as snowboard boots AND ski boots! All I needed to get started snow skating was myself and my shoes! 

I tried these at Snowplanet and I got some interesting looks when all I wanted was my pass, and all I had with me was a backpack and a yoga mat!

I got geared up, whipped the Snowfeet II out of my backpack, and wandered off into the snow with my "yoga mat"... little did they know!

Ski With Any Winter Boots

Simply attach Snowfeet to any winter shoes or snowboard boots with bindings. We recommend waterproof boots with ankle support for protection. One size fits all!

Skis That Fit Into a Backpack

Snowfeet are extremely light and small, so they fit into any bag and are easy to carry around. You don’t need ski boots or any other clucky equipment.

Combine Skiing and Skating

Snowfeet are essentially skates for snow. They combine both skiing and skating, so you could also call them snowskates, snowblades or skiblades.

COMPATIBLE WITH ANY WINTER OR SNOWBOARD BOOTS

Just attach Snowfeet to any winter shoes or snowboard boots with bindings. We recommend waterproof shoes that fix your ankle firmly. For smaller sizes, we recommend using snowboard boots to ensure your Snowfeet fit snuggly.

I slipped in my waterproof hiking shoed foot and ratcheted the bindings tight. I was off! Up onto the magic carpet conveyor belt to take me to the top of the learning area! Zoom! Since I'd never skied or snowboarded or even done any sledding before, I was nervous I wouldn't be able to do anything, but, these things are so easy to pick up, it felt almost exactly like rollerskating and I could not only send it downhill, but also jump, 180, spin and glide on one foot!

Oh my word. These things, let me tell you... are FUN! You don't even need to think about it! I'd just skate around the snow and when this beginner fell, I'd slide down the rest of the Slope! The Assled fastens to your legs and waist so you can wander, ski or snowboard around and after a while you kinda forget your wearing it...that is, until you bail and go whooshing down the hill on the tarpaulin material!
